La Maestranza Franklin is a traditional Chilean restaurant, originating from the Franklin neighborhood. Renowned for its generous portions and authentic flavors, it offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, unassuming yet charming. What sets this place apart is its atmosphere infused with characteristic visual elements of Chilean popular culture.
The goal was to transfer the essence of the restaurant and the Franklin neighborhood to the MUT environment, blending characteristic elements of both places to create a renewed experience for La Maestranza We designed a space that preserves the original authenticity and charm by incorporating distinctive elements such as the red color scheme, chalk murals, and classic Chilean hand-painted signs, along with vintage toys reminiscent of Franklin’s warehouses. Additionally, we introduced new materials such as warm wood, glazed ceramics, and metal joineries to further enrich the experience of the place and seamlessly integrate it into the MUT environment.
